Mainly thanks to the European Union's grants we managed to restore the original state of Poznan Parish Church, Franciskan's Church, Archdiocese Museum and Archdiocese archives. Without Union's help the city wouldn't also cope with development of Raczynski's Library.

Before entering into the European Union all reconstructions, repairs, revaluations from the city budget were almost impossible. No city budget would be able to cope with such investments without Union's support, said Wojciech Starzycki from the City Office for Monuments Protection in Poznan.

The first monument in Poznan, which owes its looks to the European Union, is the Our Mother Perpetual Help and St. Mary Magdalene's Church, that is Poznan parish church. The church is one of the most beautiful baroque buildings in Poland.

More than 3,5 million zloty received Poznan Franciscans from the Union for restoration of their monumental temple. Located on the top of Przemysl Hill, near the Old Market Square, St. Anthony's Church from Padua was built at the turn of XVIIth and XVIII century.

Also the Collegium Minus building owes its contemporary looks to the European Union. We can find there famous from its excellent acoustic University Assembly Hall. The building in neo-renaissance style was built at the turn of XIXth and XXth century.
