Mobile phones are out of reach in places visited by thousands of tourists. In Beskids the higher the worse. In the region of Bielice and Kamienica in Bielskie Mountains (Lower Silesia) even Mountain Rescue Services (GOPR) lose contact.

- It's the most neglected region in this respect- say mountain rescue teams. In the valley of Danube Ravine, through which many raftsmen carry tourists and also in Sromowice Nizne, Srednie and partially Wyzne are only in range of Slovakian telecommunications operators.

In the most dangerous high Tatra mountains there is no problem with communication of Polish and Slovakian operators. Problems appear in Chocholowska valley, from Huciski to the border, there is no communication at all. Thousands of tourists visit this valley every year. In case of any troubles they can use only a fixed-line in a mountain chalet in Chocholowska valley or search for foresters or TPN workers who have radio on disposal.
It's not much better in Bielskie Mountains, Table Mountains, Sokola and Jugowska Pass in the Owl Mountains. Communication is lost by the border-line in Jizera Mountains belt.
