Public Prosecutor's Office in Białystok discontinued Rywin's case, that is "the backroom elite" case.
District public prosecutor's office discontinued investigation because of rule of penalty of the illegal favorism crime, as well as the fact that full lineup of the group has been impossible to establish.
The aim of the investigation held in Białystok was to establish the circle of people who sent Lew Rywin with corruptive proposal to Agora. According to parliamentary commission report of the authorship of former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro, the so called "backroom elite" consists of: Leszek Miller, Aleksandra Jakubowska, Lech Nikolski, Włodzimierz Czarzasty and Robert Kwiatkowski. They all deny the accusation.
Lew Rywin had been convicted for two years of imprisonment for assistance in illegal favorism in the case of Agora, at the beginning of the year 2007 Lew Rywin was early released from prison.
