Condoleezza Rice in Poland

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski will bring today from Warsaw the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. They are going to eat supper in the evening and tomorrow they are going to sign an agreement concerning building of anti-missile shield in Poland.

Details of arrival of the U.S. Secratary of State have been planned since sunday. There appeared some rumours that the Presidential Palace and Prime Minister's Office could not come to an agreement about who should visit the guest. Finally, it was determined that Condoleezza Rice will come to Poland together with Sikorski at tuesday evening, straight from the meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO in Brussels.

The programme of her visit was planned in such a way to satisfy both the President and the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. First there will be supper with Sikorski and the day after breakfest with the President. Then they will sign an agreement concernig the shield - one of the most important military agreements in the history of Poland, finishing lasting one and a half year negotiations between Poland and the USA. At the end Rice will eat lunch with the PM.
