No bathing in Międzyzdroje

No bathing in Międzyzdroje. Such ban was imposed by the Sanitary Inspectorate because of water pollution.

It is not allowed to bathe in Midzyzdroje on the stretch between a fishing base and pier. The ban will be in force until further notice. On friday the inspectorate is going to do another water-research in the Baltic sea, nevertheless the ban will be in force until monday.

In water were found salmonella bacteria. "We don't know the source of infection but it is known that salmonella turns up in the alimentary canal of people and animals", said the spokesman of the West Pameranian Department of Sanitaration Renata Opiela.

Salmonella bacteria can cause stomach or intestine troubles.
