19 years of imprisonment for the Pole in Great Britain
45 years old Jan U. sentenced by the Royal Court in Canterbury (Kent shire) to 19 years of imprisonment for an attempt of smuggling of 70,79 kilogram of pure cocaine in the refrige rated truck.
Worth of the smuggling drugs on the British market was estimated by the customs officers at 8,8 million pound. Cocaine is qualified to the most dangerous group of drugs in Great Britain, so called "A" group. Jan U. was arrested in the Dover Port on the 26th of January this year.
According to the prosecution counsel Tom Little the drugs were smuggled under the bottom celling of the truck and were not uncovered by neither German nor French border guard.
The judge Timothy Nash said that it was certainly one of the biggest attempts to smuggle drugs from the A group to Great Britain and it deserves a severe verdict indeed.
