Polish government want to castrate pedophiliacs

A supervision in a form of electronic collars and forced, chemical castration - such a fate is to meet Polish pedophiliacs. The Ministry of Health wants a hormonal castration for such person – this is a special treatment with tablets reducing sexual drive.

With electronic surveillance only pedophiliacs who have a judicial ban to approach their victims will be included. If the collars are successfull, the Ministry of Justice will decide whether or not they should be put on to all guilty pedophiliacs. First collars are to be put on next year, because then they will be implemented. For now, the ministry announced the tender for the purchase of such collars.

Every year in Poland few hundred people are sentenced because of harassment and sex with children under 15. Last year there were 821 such cases.
