"Cracowia Sacra"

"Cracowia Sacra" project aims in promotion of the phenomenon of spiritual life of Cracow and will last exactly 24 hours. Visiting a dozen or so temples and monasteries of Cracow, and inside them concerts, works of art from church interior and vaults show, and additionally experiencing the secrecs of monks’ life– all this attractions are addressed to Cracowian and tourists of "Cracowia Sacra" project, which is scheduled for 15th of August.

The first edition will start at noon with the tour through renovated "Great Ruins" and cloisters in Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec. The final point of "Cracowia Sacra" will be scheduled at midnight in Cracow's Franciscan Basilica with a concert "Wind was blowing - the story of St. George Francis".

Great opportunity for music lovers is a performance of all Rosary Sonatas of Ignaz Franz von Biber during this one day, also in Wawelska Cathedral a choir and organ music concert, and in Mary's Basilica - Marian concerts will be held.
