Warsaw airport chosen to marketing research
On F. Chopin Airport in Warsaw, European Aviation Safety Agency will conduct marketing test concerning the range of passengers and baggage standard weight.
"The study, which aims in collecting and uptading the existing data in the tables defining the standard weight of passengers and baggage will be carried out by the NEA Transport Research and Training. All European carriers will benefit from the research. On the basis of the weight of the aircraft, the appropriate balance is determined, with has an utmost importance to conduct the aviation safety "- said James Mielniczuk, the spokesman of the PP "Airports".
The first phase of the EASA project is beginning in summer season 2008, while the second phase in Winter season 2008. 1000 people and 1000 pieces of luggage will be weighed on the airport during this time.
