Eclipse has been visible almost throughout whole Europe, Asia, northern Canada and Greenland. Partial eclipse of the sun could be also observed throughout whole Poland. The most visible was in Suwalki, where the moon covered almost one-third of the Sun. Eclipse in Suwalki began at 10.50 a.m., its maximum can be noted at 11.51 a.m., and then, till 12:52, the moon began to "recede" from the Sun. The maximum phase of the moon in Suwalki covered 29% of the Sun surface.

The next partial sun eclipse will be visible in Poland on 15th January 2010.
