An aircraft of PLL (Polish Airlines) "LOT" from New York to Warsaw landed on the airport in Gander in Newfoundland (Canada) because of some suspicious defect, informed the spokesman of the airlines Wojciech Kądziołek.

There was no threat to passengers or crew, said Kądziołek. He added that in such circumstances the regulations are very restrictive and the aircraft must land immediately.

200 passengers were flying with Boeing 767 to Poland. As the spokesman had informed they were all transported to the hotels. The plane will be back in Poland on Friday in the morning.
