A child died after taking heroin - its father goes to prison

Four years of imprisonment for father and two years of suspended sentence for mather, such judgment was taken by the Regional Court in Lodz on parents of 1,5 years old Weronika who died in August last year after taking heroin kept by her parents in the house. With drugs was dealing her father.

The Prosecutor accused her parents of direct exposing to risk of death or long-lasting health demage. They were also accused of involuntary killing of their daughter and additionally her father was charged with drug-selling.

The tradgedy took place in August last year. Young Weronika was brought to the hospital in Lodz The baby had, inter alia, some serious problems with breathing. During the research in the girl's body was discovered heroin. Despite the doctor's immediate help the girl died after few days.
