Yesterday Lech Walesa testified in a trial concerning the case of workers massacre in December 1970, he announced that – Jaruzelski is guilty in a way, but decisions were made in the Registry of PZPR (Polish United Workers' Party - Polska Zjednoczona Partia Robotnicza).
Walesa seemed to defend Jaruzelski. He greet him squeezing his hand "as a Corporal to a General." They talked a little. Later, Walesa explained that it is not so easy to judge someone personally, because PRL had been working in communist environment, and decisions were not always made in Poland.
In December 1970 in Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin and Elblag during bloodily suppressed demonstration at least 44 people were killed and more than 1160 were injured.
