A Museum of Folk Building and Ethnographic Park at the same time, extremely charming place, full of magical atmosphere from past years is situated in Olsztynek in Warmia-Mazury prowince. This is one of the oldest heritage park in Europe.

Open-air museum occupy an area of about 60 hectares. 56 folk buildings and small architecture from Warmia, Mazury, Powiśle, Barcja Mala and Lithuania are gathered here. We can admire the picturesque houses, rural farms, churches, mill, windmill and even old smithy that were functioning here within the space of eighteenth and twentieth century. Interior equipped with original old devices, appliances and traditional tools.

The area of the museum is beautifully situated, on a brink of Jemiołówka stream, you can also find here small paddles of water, forest and moor oasis, arable fields and pastures.

And after an exhaustive walk around the heritage park you can go to Heritage Inn (Gospoda w Skansenie) where we can try products with the sign "Baby Pruskie." These are high standard dishes consistent with the tradition of this place. Incredibly delicious Lithuanian ham prepared according to genuine recipe can serve as an example.
