Priest wanted to put his own child to death

Priest from Janikow in Silesia, asked doctors to kill his newly born daughter, doctors called the police.

Child’s mother Edith L. landed in Specialist Provincial Hospital in Czestochowa in advanced pregnancy. Because of defects in placenta the child could die. Cesarean section was needed. The man, who was sitting whole days with her and asked about the state of her health said that "it would be better if the child die." On third day the patient has agreed to the section - says one of the doctors.

The Cesarean section was a succes. A child was born healthy. The man accompanying the woman, did not hide his anger. In the end he went to the doctor who was taking care of new-born infants and asked whether the doctor could do something, so this child would not live any longer.

Doctor together with the heads of the department of gynecology and management of the hospital decided to notify this to the public prosecutor. The doctors had already known that the child's father was a priest, even though he concealed this.

Priest Wieńczysław Ł. (45 years) can be sentenced to life imprisonment and exclusion from a clerical circle.
