In the citycentre of Warsaw is situated the only working stereoscopy in Europe. The Warsaw stereoscopic imaging is the only, one hundred years old stereoscopy in Europe which is located in the same place from the very beginning and is still on the run.

Since the beginning of 70's of the XXth Century the workshop has been in the hands of Chudy family. There is more or less 2500 photographs in their collection, coming from different years. Tomasz Chudy recalls the oldest photos from 1869, presenting the openning of the Suez Canal. The modern photographs and from the distant, exotic world draw most interest, however some tourists want to see also the pictures of the Old Warsaw.

There is more or less 50 such pgotographs in their collection. For Tomasz Chudy his stereoscopy is a business card of Warsaw and Poland. "There is no authentic, working stereoscopy and now that we are in the European Union and we create a cultural community, it is important to inform that the monument of this class can be found in the eastern part of Europe", underlined Chudy. Despite the fact that it is a rarity in the world of technology, it has never been granted by the city or the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

The stereoscopy is an instrument used to present single photographs from the whole photographic cycles on one visual stand.

The stereoscopy invites from tuesday to thuhrsday 3-7 PM and on saturday 11-15 PM.
