On 5th of July 2008 in Ostróda, the official opening of the longest in Poland waterskiing lifts, professional canoeing track and city beach took place. 800m waterskiing lift, located on a Drwęckie lake in Ostróda, soon is going to be one of the most interesting tourist attraction in this region.

Construction consists of pile secured to the bottom of the lake. Pylons have been fastened to the piles, on which the net of ropes has been spread, to which the skier is fastened. The engines to power the lift is controlled electronically from the shore. It is a safe and convenient way of skiing on the water because you sale on a fixed route.
