25 years imprisonment for children in barrels

25 years in prison instead of life imprisonment - Jolanta K., who killed five of their children and hid them in barrels, heard such a verdict.

Crime came to light in August 2003, when Jolanta K. husband, Andrew, preparing to picle cabbage, told his sons to take a plastic barrel from their apartment to the field. During the rolling a lid fell off from the barrel. Inside they have found two plastic bags with corpses of newborn babies.

An investigation revealed further details of the crime: the murder occurred during the years 1992-98, when the K. marriage lived in Lublin. The pattern of the murders was always the same: Jolanta K. gave birth to her children in a bathtub, then she drown them, and took the body to the freezers. This way, the woman murdered four sons and a daughter.
