Polish government want to build two nuclear power stations, one on Pomerania and one in Wielkopolska. Electricity from the first plant would flow in 2020. A few years later another one would start working. But already in autumn the government starts an information campaign, inter alia in television and on billboards, in aid of nuclear power station.

Poles are afraid of nuclear energy. They associate it with the disaster in Chernobyl in 1986. Experts, convince however, that new power plants are safe and do not contaminate the environment as coal industry. Therefore, the government want to convince neighbours of former power plants by proposing them a half reduction in current price.

The demand for electricity in Poland during next twelve years are going to be doubled. This gap cannot be filled by traditional coal power plants, because that is not allowed by carbon dioxide limits.
