On the 17th of July will take place the "castle siege" in Malbork. The open air festival is referring to the historical facts connected with besiegeing of the castle by the Poland-Lithuania army in 1410, which won the Grunwald battle on the 15th of 1410.
The festivity is known from its spectacularity and exceptional atmosphere, causing that the city is visited by multitude of people who want to watch the medieval knights and henchmen. The climax of the festival is a colourful performance presenting the night battle which took place under the brickwork of the fortress in Malbork. During the festivity are planned knight's tournaments, shooting contest, plebeian plays, fire spectacles, movie shows and reces of dragon boats.
