Polish supporters among the best in Europe

Football works wonders. It draw Poles away from television sets, in which Poles usually watched athletes. It is due to football emotions that Pole finally came to the stadiums and out on the streets. It also turned out that Polish fans are among the most faithful in Europe. More enthusiastic than Poles are only Portuguese, Germans and Greeks – these are the data from the international research conducted by ARC Market and Reviews. Every third Pole is stretched by impetuous emotions while watching a football game. Another 31 percent respondents declared that they are interested in football. This sport, as one of the few, is also capable of rousing fans from home. "Football arouse fans and attracted them to the stadiums" - explained Adam Czarnecki one of the authors of the research. Indeed, up to 65 percent of Polish football fans support their favorite teams live. We are going to watch matches much more often than the Germans, Frenchmen and even the British! This is absolutely unbelievable, because beside this, in Poland still prevails the model of “couch supporter”. “Naturally, we're happy to keep our fingers crossed for our favorites but ... with the TV remote control in our hands" - explained Czarnecki. Football has gained the status of our national sport, similarly as in Germany, Portugal and Great Britain. But while the Portuguese are fascinated also by swimming, and the English by rugby, we become fans of ski jumping. Why? Because we are fans of success - we love only those sports in which we can boast about good results. It does not need to be a rule. According to the research, the Indonesians do not have any spectacular success in sports, including football, but still they are ardent supporters.
