Polish soldier killed in Afghanistan

Polish soldier was killed and four was wounded in Afghanistan. In the vicinity of the base Wasiqua, military patrol probably drove into a mine. This information has been confirmed by the Defence Minister Bogdan Klich. He clearly stressed that this data is from 1 a.m. This is the fifth Polish soldier who was killed in Afghanistan.

This week, the Taliban has already attacked Polish patrols twice. However, soldiers were victorious in both skirmishes.
AFP Agency (Agence France Pressures) estimates that since the beginning of the year about 98 soldiers from international forces were killed in Afghanistan; only in June 31 military men were killed. Most of them were attack’s victims.
