Will UEFA take Euro 2012 away from Poland?
The biggest problems with the organization of Euro 2012 have Warsaw and Chorzow. In its latest UEFA report, these two cities are marked in red alarm. Even more unfavorably compared is our eastern neighbor - Ukraine. There are problems in almost all cities. UEFA raise the alarm, because there is no stadium in Polish capital. The report stressed that only initial work begun at the construction site, the main part is going to be started in autumn. That is why Warsaw was marked in red under the heading "stadium". Much better look Poznan and Krakow in the latest report of the UEFA. But only if it comes to the stadium. In this category the two cities are marked yellow. That means that everything is going according to plan, although the end of the investment is still far off. However, the capital of Wielkopolska (a province in western Poland) should be worry about small and poor accommodation and a small capacity of Poznan airport. Also Gdansk and Wroclaw have problems with high standard hotels. But Poland is assessed in the report much better than our partner in Euro 2012, Ukraine. In this report almost everywhere is marked red. Our eastern neighbors have problems with everything: hotels, roads condition, which is worse than in Poland, and the construction of the stadiums. A person who have a contacts with UEFA says: "There is a scenario in which only two, three Ukrainian cities will organize the Euro and the remaining matches will be held in Poland. The best way is in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk. But there will be no championships without Kiev " - he stresses.
