Every fifth tourist in Greece is from Poland
Poles account for one fifth of tourists visiting Greece and Greeks hope that there will be more of them soon.
Every fifth tourist visiting Greece is a Pole - informed at conference on wednesday the chairman of Greece Touristic Orgtanization Athanasios Ekonomu.
As it results from the data of the Touristic Institute, in 2007 Greece was visited by 150 thousand of Polish tourists. In 2006 there was 100 thousand of them.
Ekonomu underlined that Poland is a very important country for Greece and one of its destination markets. He hopes that till the end of 2008 the amount of tourists from Poland will grow considerably.
The advertising company started on monday in Arkadia Shopping Centre in Warsaw promoting Greece in Poland is to contribute to it.
