Poles could cause air catastrophy
"Polish aircraft was "a second" from the air crash with another machine because of fatal command of English by Polish pilots", informed "The Times" referring to the statement prepared by British Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB).
Polish pilots of Boeing 737 of LOT airlines with 95 passengers and people from the crew on the board " were speaking English so poorly that they were not able to understand the simplest instructions made by the air-traffic controller" . In result the aircraft for almost half an hour was straying in the air bacause the pilots had difficulties to point their position. The controller had to ask another aircraft to change their directions in order to avoid crash.
The daily paper is writing that they have got a letter sent by "Polish government office which deals with civil aviation of International Civil Aviation Organization", in which we read that "only 15 out of 800 Polish pilots flying on international airways have passed the exam confirming their fluent command of English."
