German Neo-Nazi offended Poles
"All Poles must wear a yellow star" – that is how, just after the Poland-Germany football game, German hooligans have been shouting in the center of Klagenfurt. Such stars in times of the Third Reich had to be worn by Jews. For Anti-Poles Nazi slogans Austrian police arrested up to 140 hooligans and Neo-Nazis from Germany.
Some German supporters were screaming that "all Poles have to wear a yellow star" – that was an allusion to a symbol that Jews had to wear on areas occupied by the Nazis during World War II.
Few Poles were arrested as well, because they were fighting with Germans on the market square. Trouble exploded after the second goal scored by Lucas Podolski. First hooligans started to throw beer mugs at each other, then they started fistfighting. Police intervened. In total, 14 Polish football fans went to jail.
