Modern trains in Poland
Two most modern trains in Poland, ED-74 returned after modernization to the route from Lodz to Warsaw. Several months ago the company PKP Regional Transport received 11 new trains. All of them cost 171 million zlotys (around 54 million Euro). Few days later passengers lodged a complaint about extreme inconvenience of the vehicles. Polish State Railways decided to take them back.
- Tour usually last no longer than one hour. Unfortunately, on the route from Lodz to Warsaw ongoing overhaul of track cause that the route takes considerably more time. Therefore, passengers complain about the inconvenient seats. Provided alternations move seats 10 centimeters from each other. This ensures that the travel will be more comfortable - assured Michal Żurowski from PESA Bydgoszcz, the company that manufactured and maintained the trains.
On Tuesday, first two upgraded trains returned to their routes, most people did not even noticed the changes.
The situation for passengers will improve a little bit in mid-June. PKP announced that the time of travel on the route from Lodz to Warsaw will take half an hour less.
