Tourists in Poland

In the first half of a year 2008 13,2 million foreign tourists have visited Poland. That is less than last year! At the same time number of Poles who have left abroad increased.
From January to March 13,2 million foreigners came to Poland, almost 10 percent less than in the analogous period last year. The largest group of travelers is from Germany, as many as 8,4 million visitors. 1,6 million Czechs, 1,2 million Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians has visited Poland.
2,9 million people from this group were tourists who stayed in Poland for at least one night. In the first quarter 10,7 million Poles left abroad, that is 2 percent more than during the same period last year.
