III Festival of Polish Radio Theatre and Polish Television Theatre "Two Theaters"
VIII Festival Polish Radio Theatre and Polish Television Theatre "Two Theaters" is taking place in Sopot. Not only radio and television productions presentations enjoyed a great popularity but also "Meetings with the Stars”.
On Sunday, at the Theatre On the Beach near to Grand Hotel, audience will have an opportunity to talk with Dorota Segda, an excellent actress of Old Theatre in Cracow and National Theatre in Warsaw. Audience associate her mostly with the title role in the film "Faustina" by George Lukaszewicz and series "For better or for worse" („Na dobre i na złe”). Segda is one of the candidates for the best female role in Television Theatre award, in the competition Stanislaw Wyspianski’s "Judges", directed by Jerzy Grzegorzewski, participate.
This year television jury will have a particularly hard nut to crack while selecting the Grand Prix winner since three different trend Television Theatres had met in Sopot: classic literature adaptations, Non-fiction Stage productions and performances which were transferred directly from the theatre stage. – Very hard task awaits us - says Maciej Englert, the jury chairman. - But one have to be glad that thanks to Non-fiction Stage, television theatre is now closer to everyday life. This is certainly one of the most important trends of its development.
- The fact that festival Two Theatres is already taking place for the eighth time, shows that people spirit have not died - says Anna Seniuk, chairwoman of the jury radio. – in the face of the flood of mass culture we need more and more time for rest and reflection, which gives us good literature.
