Polish restaurants and hotels signed "Recommended by Michelin"
29 Polish restaurant and hotel owners honored in this year's Micheline Red Guide "Main Cities of Europe", for the first time in history, have the right to designate their premises with a sign "Recommended by Michelin."
From this year on, all owners of restaurants and hotels characterized in the Michelin Red Guide, can distinguish their premises by the sign "Recommended by Michelin". Michelin recognized that the fact that particular restaurant or a hotel is included in the most prestigious culinary and hotel guide, deserves special mentioning and identification"- explains Ewa Konopka from the Service of Communications Michelin Poland. In Michelin Red Guide "Main Cities of Europe" 29 Polish restaurants were honored: 13 from Warsaw, 16 in Cracow (this city is in Michelin Red Guide for the first time). Only one of them - Warsaw "Absynt" got Bib Gourmand and according to the former rules, only this restaurant could be signed. “Main Cities of Europe 2008 " is yet 27th edition of the famous Red Michelin Guide, which contains information concerning 41 cities in 20 countries. The guide describes 3006 selected places, including 1544 hotels and 1462 restaurants in different price categories. The guide is designed for those who are on business trips and tourists visiting main cities.
