Tours for Poles worse than for Germans

Poles pay more than Germans, but get less. For the holidays in south countries, bought in the same travel agency, we will get worse room, but we need to pay up to 40 percent more. Tour operators explain, that it is because of better-developed western tourist market. But some of them say that it is because Pole usually eat and drink much more.
Western offices’ customers, although they get more, they pay less. German offers are, on average, 30 to 40 percent cheaper than Polish. Using German TUI or Neckermann offers one can fly and relax in Turkey, Greece or Egypt for a week for about 600 zloty, in Poland we have to pay at least one thousand zloty. Tour operators explain this with free market - in western Europe operate large tourism corporations, while in our country we have almost 3 thousand small travel agencies. "Hotel, in which large travel agency reserve one thousand rooms, must guarantee the best financial and residential conditions, in order not to lose a customer" - says Maria Byszewska, travel agencies expert from the Institute of Tourism.
However hotels’ representatives, who are coming to Poland, indicate a different reason. One of the representatives, an employee of Dreams Vacation four-star hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt anonymously said: "All inclusive option for the Poles may be even $ 5 more expensive than for the Italian because keeping a Pole is much more expensive. Last year in May our hotel run out of alcohol, because they were not prepared that Poles can drink that much". However, officially hoteliers deny. They are explaining that the rates depend on the size of the group, the more people, the lower costs per person. But there is a question how to reconcile these arguments with indisputable information that Poles alongside the Germans, are one of the largest groups of tourists visiting Egypt? "Such practices are simply a roguery, and if they are widespread, it is necessary to change it" - says the vice president of Polish Chamber of Tourism Jozef Ratajski.
