Amnesty International attacked Poland
We are discriminating against women and homosexuals, we do not help refugees, we cooperate with the U.S. intelligence. These are the conclusions of the latest report of the Amnesty International organization about our abiding by human rights. "Open homophobic language is used by important politicians such as President Lech Kaczyński or by former Prime Minister Roman Giertych" – one can read in Amnesty International activists’ report. They quote the opinions of European politicians and EU institutions, criticizing the authorities in Warsaw for their "homophobic actions". According to a report there is no equality of rights between women and men in Poland. Parliament rejected the law concerning equal rights for women and men, and the government abolished the position of a representative for the equal status for women and men. "The ONZ Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women expressed concern about an abolishment of this position" – one can read in the report. Poland also got a scolding for the alleged help for American CIA in the transportation of terrorists from Afghanistan to the prison in Guantanamo. Although there is no evidence that U.S. planes landed in Poland and that there were secret detainees arrests, the organization claims that we did not conducted an appropriate inquiry in this case.
