Agnieszka Radwańska wins Istambul Cup tennis
Agnieszka Radwańska captured the WTA Istambul Cup championship (the pool 200 thousand dollars). In the final she downed the seventh racket Russian Jelena Dementieva 6:3, 6:2.
It is her third career title in WTA Tour. Last year in August she triumphed in Stockholm and in February in Thailand Pattai.
In the first rounds in Istambul the 19 years old girl from Cracow was playing with the weaker competitors but in the final on the opposite side of the court stood Jelena Dementieva, the winner of nine WTA Cups, finalist of Roland Garros and US Open, player who has earned on the court more than 9 million dollars.
Radwańska started her final relly bad. She lost the first two games but short after she went on metamorphosis. She served perfectly well. By servicing she won 22 balls (76%). Her fire-arm was her return and deep court exchange shot to the back court. She brought to a draw 3:3 and till the end she did not allow her seven years older competitor to break a point. In the second set her adventage was even more visible. The game last one hour and 12 minutes.
