Poland in the final round of Eurovision

Since the year 1994 none of our representatives managed to hit the final ten. 35 years old Isis Gee qualifying to the saturday's final broke a spell.
Poland will be represented at this level for the first time since four years. To the semi-finals did not qualified groups such as: Ivan and Delfi, Ich Troje and The Jet Set. We expected another defeat this time because Poland was mentioned among the final ten not before the 9th place.
This year's final contest has also a political background. The hosts want to underline their european aspirations. They found the song contest as an opportiunity to present themselves as country cherishing peace and good fun. The hosts declined the word - Europe in all cases. On the scene appeared also the famous, Serbian tennnis player - Novak Djokovic.
Isis Gee, really Tamara Gołębiowska was born in Seattle in 1972. She has been on the stage since five years old. She composes and writes lyrics to her songs. She cooperated with: Tony Bennet, pianist McCoy Tyner and with the composer of many block-busters Steve Dorff. In 2004 she moved to Poland and married Adam Gołębiowsk. In 2007 she recorded her debut album "Hidden Treasure".
