Polish-German military cooperation
The ministers of defence of Poland and Germany at the meeting in Warsaw decided to create a battle group.
"We want to create a common battle group within the frames of Weimar Triangle, which would operate within NATO", said Franz Josef Jung. German minister supported Polish claims to situate the NATO signal corps in Poland. "I thanked for support that will undoubtedly help us. It would be the second NATO object after the training centre in Bydgoszcz", said Bogdan Klich. In his opinion for the sake of security, it is very important to divide infrustructure of NATO equally among the members of the alliance.
A moot point has been still the case of Ukrainian membership in NATO which is opposed by Germany. " I tried to convince because NATO is not only a provider of security but also democratization", underlined Klich. The German minister of defence also met with the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Security Agency.
