In Wrocław will be built a new, exceptional bridge

A six hundred meters bridge, hung under the 122 meters high pylon (the highest in Poland), will be built over Odra river in Wrocław. The contract on building of the object, which in the future will be a part of the motorway bypass around Wrocław, is worth 576 million zloty (gross price).
A voivode of Lower Silesia Rafał Jurkowlaniec signed yesterday an agreement on building of the bridge with General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) and building contractors- with consortium of companies Mostostal Worsaw S.A. and Acciona Infraestructura S.A.
The total length of the bridge, together with left and right-bank palisade will amount to more than 1,7 km. The investment will be financed from the Budget. As the designer of the bridge Jan Biliszczuk announced during a conference, his object will be exceptional.
"One part of the object has been designed in arch which considerably trammels its realisation. By the pylon will be installed an elevator. The object will also have a hi-tech monitoring system. Many installed sensors will send messages about condition of the object to the Motorway Menagement Centre and in case of any danger in the station will light up a "red lamp" - said Biliszczuk.
