The biggest group of engineers will be working for Warsaw research centre of American company General Electric. Americans believed in Poland after success of their post in Okęcie.
The american menagers made a decision being impressed by Polish projects of aircraft engines GEnx which will bring power to the new, famous aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The engineers from Warsaw Centre designed inter alia: the low pressure turbine being part of the engine.
At the moment in Warsaw Engineering Design Centre is working 650 people, mainly the engineer-constructors. In two years it is going to be more than one thousand of them. Apart from aircraft projects they are going to deal with energetic science and designing of gas and oil pipelines.The whole company General Electric employs more or less three hundred thousand people. Its divisions work all over the world making profits of 170 billion dollars. 400 million dollars have already been invested in Poland since the beginning of the XXI century. Inspite of the centre in Warsaw General Electric owns in Poland also the production establishments in Bielsko Biała, Kłodzko and Łódż.
