The Internet in every other home

By about four millions the number of fast internet connections in Poland will be increased in the upcoming three years. In this way every other home will have an access to the web. Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej (Office of Electronic Communications ) has such plans. At the moment the Internet is in every third home.
“In 3 years we can reach the European Union average. It's an ambitious but realizable plan” - says the chairman of UKE, Anna Streżyńska. Now Poland, in respect of the broadband Internet, occupies the next to last place in the European Union statistics. UKE would like means of the government, self-governments and money from the EU to be engaged in the process of increasing the number of broadband Internet connections.
