Schuman Parade

The inhabitants of Warsaw gathered numerously on the 9th Schuman Parade in order to express their happiness because of Polish adherence in European Union. Together with the President of the European Parliament, Marshal of the Sejm and President of Warsaw.
In the parade took part inter alia: the President of European Parliament Hans - Gert Pottering, Marshal of the Sejm Bronisław Komorowski and President of Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz. Among the participants of the parade we could find the Euro-deputies, politicians, German and Slovenian ambassadors and famous Polish actors and journalists.
The parade went along the streets of Warsaw for the 9th time. As it is called by its organizators "it is the most positive manifestation of Europeness in Poland". Indeed, on the parade were many euro-enthusiasts dressed in shirts and neckerchiefs with the flag of EU. Through Nowy Świat district railed the "European choo-choo" and platforms of youths waving with baloons and steamers.
The parade was a culminating point of the XV European Polish Meeting. It is a part of lasting one week conference, debate and cultural events connected with EU.
