Bisons from Ireland in Poland

The biggest in the world herd of these animals will soon extend for four young bisons. At the acclimatization enclosure in Komańcza arrived four young bisons from Ireland that will join their Polish "kinsmen". Their genes are to protect our bisons from deseases.
Young bisons have between 10 months and 2 years. The animals for a few months will get used to life in Bieszczady Mountains. In the end of the summer they will be released from the enclosure and they will join the herds leaving in Chryszczata and Wołosana zone, soon after they got accustomed to Polish climate and pasture.
The National Park Fota Wildlife Park from Ireland donated the bisons to forestes in Bieszczady.
