Sailing season in Masuria is about to start

As early as next weekend, 28th of April starts Majówka (long May weekend) in Masuria during which the sailing season will begin. On the 2nd of May will take place an official inauguration of sailing season.
The great inauguration will take place in heart of Masuria lakes, in Giżyck. On the 2nd of May one will be able to celebrate a Flag Day, apart from that many other accompanying ceremonies are prepared, for example Giżyck Sailing Novelties Exhibition - yacht and sailing equipment show.
But the main atraction is yacht-race for Chairman's Cup OZŻ (District Sailing Association) and ceremonial opening of rotary bridge by the representatives of local authorities and invited guests. It is worth to know that the rotary bridge is the only such a structure in Poland and one of two operative in Europe. It is operated by hand - it takes five minutes - by one man.
Who will decide to spend Majówka on a boat, he may sail to Ryn, where on Saturday, 3rd of May at local Teutonic Castle (the biggest in Masuria) will take place outdoor night show "Battle of Ryn".
