Orlen and Ciech spent in Germany the most. Together Polish companies invested 650 million Euro so far.
The last year was especially successful in terms of Polish investments flooding our western neighbours. They reached 150 million Euro, itis about one-third of all investments realised by native comanies in Germany - as it follows from promotion department data, trade and investments of Polish Embassy in Berlin.
The last year's biggest investment was taking over the producer of soda Sodawerk Stassfurt by chemical group Ciech. The transaction was worth 75 million Euro.
However we have more and more companies which take over German compettors, most of all because of their brand name. Because our western neighbours prefer products "made in Germany" what Orlen has found out recently. Płock concern bought for 140 million Euro the network of 494 petrol stations Aral and BP five years ago.
The number of Polish investments will get bigger in West because trade exchange between Poland and Germany is growing. In 2007 it surpassed 50 billion Euro and amounted to 54,5 billion Euro. Our export increased about 10%.
