At the beginning of the next year, Lodz could become the first city in Poland with free wireless Internet. The Hercules Mobile company in Lodz intends to supply anout 20 zones of free Internet access. This company has signed an agreement, based on partnership cooperation, with Polkomtel, the biggest mobile phone operator in our country.
  "The cooperation will guarantee that Internet signal will be stronger and we will be able to use wireless Internet without any problems," claims Wojciech Wodnicki, the chairman of Herkules Mobile.
The project, named “Mobile citizen” will grant access to the Internet, for example: in Piotrowska Street, in The Workshop, parks, airport, in the vicinity of museums, train stations and universities. Hot-spots would receive Internet signal from the net of mobile phone poles.
