Dhaulagiri "The White Mountain", the Himalayan peak of 8167meters above see level, is seperated from Annapurna by the deep gorge of Kali Gandaki. It is the seventh highest from eight-thousanders in the world and, so far, the one which has not been conquered by any Polish woman.
The peak was reached in 1960 by a Swiss expedition with Kurt Diemberger. However, the first and so far the only people who conquered Dhaulagiri in winter were Poles: Jerzy Kukuczka and Andrzej Czok in 1985.
