Foreigners buy lands in Poland

The foreigners still show interests in buying registered lands in Poland. Last year 8,8 thousands transactions were finalized, which means 38 percentage grow with regard to 2006 (6,4 thousands). Also the area of registered lands increased considerably and amounted to 7 thousands hectares, which means that it was 37% bigger than in 2002 (more or less 5 thousands hectares).
However, it is a bit worse in sector of flats and retail suites. The number of bought dwellings and retail suites (office blocks, shopping centers, storage) decreased 20%. In 2007 foreigners bought 3.5 thousands such estates of 532,5 thousands square meters (previous year- 663,6)
The umprecedented leader in buying register lands in Poland is Germany ( 120 hectares). Far behind them are placed Netherlands, Sweden and Britain. When it is about companies, then dominate the subjects with Irish capital ( 1,6 thousands hectares), Dutch and German.
