Yesterday’s recital by Kristian Zimerman in St. Cecilia’s Hall in Roman Auditorium, the most prestigious concert hall in that city, ended with a standing ovation
A Polish pianist, the winner of The Frederick Chopin International Piano Competition in 1975, performed a recital in front of an audience as a part of tour around Italy.
Zimerman’s performance excited the audience. About two thousand viewers rewarded the pianist with a long ovation.
Italian press emphasized that ‘Krystian Zimerman is one of the ‘golden three’ of the world pianism beside Maurizio Pollini and Radu Lupu. The press focused on the connection of ‘fantastic technique with a free interpretation’ by polish pianist.
