- The government is completing works over compensation for all Polish citizens who had lost their properties after the war.- said Donald Tusk for the very first time during his stay in the USA. He repeated his declaration during his recent visit in Israel.
The whole operation will be stretched in time and limited to refund of a small part ad valorem ( from value). He explains that it is all about sense of justice rather than something else.
If Tusk's government will really succeed in denationalisation, he will eliminate one of the biggets unsolved of yet problems in Poland. This case is so important because we are a country burdened with greatest indemnity claims of former owners in the world and at the same time the only member of EU who has not solved problems of refund of properties yet.
If we arrived at passage of Act assuming refunds of properties in form of compensations, its payout would have to be stretched in years: at least 15, or even 35 because of financial capability of the state.
