Demonstration in Wrocław
Over 200 nationalists from Radical Nationalist Camp (ONR) and National Polish Renaissance (NOP), who had been arrested on Saturday in Wrocław during illegal piquet, have already been released.
All of them face charges of contravening regulations on public meetings, which is an act under the pains of 5,000 PLN fine.
Nationalists from all over Poland met on Saturday in Wrocław, to - as they claimed- commemorate Katyń victims. Participants of ONR and NOP had wanted to march from Monument of bishop Bolesław Kominek on the Ostrów Tumski through streets of Wrocław and to the Market Square. Together there were 200 of them.
Also about 20 antifascists had gathered at the monument, along with participants of associations against homophobia and others “liberty groups”, who on the other hand had wanted to interrupt – as they said- fascists in preaching their xenophobic opinions. There was no abrasion between the opposing parties, thanks to the police intervention and the restraining of both groups in different cordons. Soon antifascists had despersed.
