Israel to arm Polish army

After the visit of Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s in Israel, a strategic military partnership between Poland and Israel is forecast. Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak declared, that he is ready to agree contracts with our country for the supply of newest generation weapons that can only be supplied to a partner of great trust. Donald Tusk has been in Israel since Wednesday. Israel’s media are impressed by declarations of Polish government that in case of confrontation with Iran, Jerusalem can count on Polish support.
The most measurable effect of this meeting will be the military cooperation between both countries. Next week Stanisław Komorowski Deputy Minister of Defense will come to Jerusalem. He is supposed to talk about Israel army’s potential help in the modernization of Polish army. Both countries want also to cooperate in the exchange of swapping data in view of fighting terrorism hazards. As experts claim, there are not many armed forces in the world that equal Israel army.
 The Government wants then tighten cooperation with Israel, because unlike with USA, our offset experiences are good; moreover Israel in the past wanted to give Poland more modern weapon than USA. “We have made a summary and we have reached a conclusion that Israel is a partner who fulfills his commitments”- says Deputy Minister of Defense Ryszard Schnepf.
