Polish Film Festival in London
Today stars in London Polish Film Festival “Kinoteka”. For almost one month in London’s cinemas will be about 50 Polish movies performing- there will be premieres, young Polish cinema, documents and in companion of festival there will be also exhibitions and meetings with artists. It is now sixth edition of this festival. This year organizations ensure that festival will a have a solid trade mark, thanks to participant artists- graphics and movie-makers. In relation to Polish traditional school of Polish posters, poster was projected by great Polish graphic designer and illustrator, Andrzej Klimowski, who since many years have been leading Faculty of Illustration in Royal College of Art, London. Trailer, which will be opening each of “Kinoteka” performance was prepared by cult creators of animations, American twin brothers, Stephen and Timothy Quay. The biggest attraction of the festival will be certainly British premiere of “Katyń” of Andrzej Wajda, which will take place on 22nd of April in the most prestigious London cinema- BFI Southbank. Festival will be opend with “Korowód” of Jerzy Stuhr, which was awarded in Gdynia Festival for screenplay. All festival will last till 30th of May.
